You go to tell me why make a subject on Capt. Harlock while the site is dedicated to the studio models?

Well, I think that this TV serie had to have his place here because the world known it. In fact there is only in France where we call Albator 84, but in the rest of the world, it is well Captain Harlock that we knows. For the anecdote, at a moment, it was question to produce for the cinema, a movie film which the main actor embodying Harlock, should have been European (German) and who, I think, would have perfectly "replaced" the manga person. Often in their Mangas, the Japanese realize heroes with not Asian faces. It is there a big irony of fate because the creator of Harlock for this motion pictures, Leiji Matsumoto required a Japanese actor! Go understand !? In brief, this great project sank into oblivion.

But for the vessel and still again in France, there is a problem because even since Harlock 78 the famous battleship is called Arcadia and not Atlantis! I would thus speak this one.

I build this Bandaï model "out of the box". Excuse-me, I only remake the detail in front of the first turet guns with plastic card.  All the rest  parts assemble perfectly ( It's japenese ! ) . The painting is respected like the cartoon pictures, then I varnished sheen the set. That's all!

I intend to make a 114 cms long Arcadia model. I scaled up a "blueprints"plans founded on the internet with differents views, the masters couples who will serve in the hull construction, will be in plexiglass. Stay in touch with ShipStarModels to see, I hope, this project.
