This vessel is, without doubts, the one which didn't mark the spirits of "Trekers", because it didn't make an enormous career in the StarTrek universe. It will appear however, in an episode of "The Next Generation" under another name.

I fell in love to this model since I saw it in "Star Trek Generation". The forms changed totally what was before made. You will say to me that it looks like strongly the Excelsior NCC 2000 which we see in "The search for Spock". Yes, it is true, they are two sisters ships. For the Enterprise B, the differences are on the primary hull saucer, the nacelles engines and the secondary hull where there are two " draughts " of each sides. The history of this Enterprise moved me, because it is in this vessel that the captain James T. Kirk going to die ( that we believe at the beginning of the film ), due to the collision with an energy ribbon called "Nexus".

It is necessary to know that I had enormous problems from the beginning because I needed plans and these are affectedly guarded by ILM. First, I  bought  the commercial  AMT Excelsior in 1/1000 scale because when I began, that of Enterprise B was unavalaible. A scale up of this Excelsior plans was one good base, then I redrew all the modifications and I can say to you that it was already a big work!

Once  that is done, I could attack ! The saucer was carved in a wooden master  then molded in resin fiberglass polyester. The secondary hull was made in wood, ABS, plastic card, resin polyester. The median base of engines nacelles was made like the saucer with plastics and ABS, all the top was make in ABS, vacu formed plastics,  plastic card and plexiglass. The support nacelles was made in ABS and detailed in plastic card. The central bulb holding these supports was made in vacu formed plastic. The bottom part was made in resin polyester, detailed with plastic card.

There were no problems for the painting because I followed the board of AMT. The paneling " Aztec " was made with masks with the airbrush. The  lettering  was made with masks and painted in satiny black. Small stencils were made with dry transfers.

This project took me two years, but the result is there and I like very much admiring it after an evening Star Trek videos. We can discuss all around and thinks themselves, one moment, for his Captain! The dream is carried out!
