DeForest Kelley

Goodbye Bones !!
The actor Deforest Kelley, the famous doctor McCoy left us on June 11, 1999 of a cancer at 79 years old, a page turns in the spatial legend.
My late goodbye has no excuses and that is why I was anxious to thank him now, to have made dream us, throughout the StarTrek series,
Irreproachable career, he took down his first role in 1946 in a film which reunited big stars of this time: Gary Cooper, Bop Hope and Bing Crosby. Eternal second, he will see in his sides severals personalities such as Marlon Brando in The Men in 1950, or John Cassavettes who have the first role in taxis in 1957.
He is going to be alongside to most Hollywood stars with:
-Gregory Peck in : The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit
-Burt Lancaster in : Gunfight at OK Corral
-Henry Fonda and Anthony Quinn in : Warlock
-Frank Sinatra in : Mariage on the rocks
-John Wayne in : The Cowboys
But it is especially from television and often in Westerns which he is going to work in famous series like Bonanza, Laramie, Gunsmoke.
People really knew him when he began Star Trek in 1966 with the producer Gene Roddenberry, a beautiful adventure which will end in 1986 in Star Trek 6. As Nimoy-Spock and Shatner-Kirk, Kelley will remain marked for ever by his doctor role. As he declared it himself, " the Star Trek heroes are a part of the history. Much later our death, people still look us as if we were a part of their family !! " He made a last appearance (too short) in the first episode of Star Trek Generation, entitled " Meeting to FarPoint ", in unrecognizable old man, the admiral Mc Coy inspecting new Enterprise NCC 1701 D with Data.

James Doohan

Energise Scotty !!
The actor James Doohan alias the chief engineer Scotty left us on July 20, 2005 of a pneumonia at 85 years old.
James Doohan was one of the "pillars" of the Enterprise crew. His death arises a little time after that of Deforest Kelley ( Dr Mc Coy). Ashes of the actor will be dispersed in Space. Goodbye Scotty, without you the Enterprise does not have a soul anymore.
The role of the engineer Montgomery Scottl almost disappeared at the end of some episodes. James Doohan remembers when he received Gene Roddenberry's letter, meaning him that it not really had need an engineer on board! His agent, Paul Wilkins, advised him to stand firm and everything to go to resolve. Somethings happened because the same day, towards in the afternoon, Scotty was reinstated.
James Doohan pass more than thirty years to embody Scotty in Star Trek from 1966 until the seventh full-length film "Star Trek Generation". It is in the TV serie after this one that Doohan played beside Patrick Stewart in the episode " Relics "
